  • Identity of the Data Controller and, if Applicable, its Representative

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“LPPD or the Law”), your personal data shall be processed by the data controller located at Halkapınar Mahallesi, Mürsel Paşa Boulevard, Mahall Bomonti İzmir, Dış Kapı No: 174, A Blok, Kat: 55, İç Kapı No: 5510 Konak İZMİR. New System Bed Sleep Products Transportation Industry and Trade Co. Ltd.  (“Company” or Data Controller”) within the scope explained below.

  • Definition of Personal Data 

Personal data, as defined in Article 3 of the KVKK, constitutes any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, the personal data mentioned in this Information Text.

  • Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed based on one or more of the personal data processing conditions specified in Article 5 of the KVKK, in accordance with the personal data processing principles specified in Article 4 of the KVKK. In all personal data processing activities carried out by the Data Controller, the obligations sought in all relevant national and international legislation, primarily the KVKK, are also complied with. 

The purposes of processing your personal data are to ensure that our business units carry out the necessary work to enable you to benefit from the services provided by the Data Controller within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK; to recommend the services offered to you by customizing them according to your tastes, usage habits and needs; to ensure the legal and commercial security of the persons who have a business relationship with the Data Controller and to determine and implement commercial and business strategies.

  Quarest As the data controller, your personal data that we obtain within the framework of the legal compliance reasons set forth in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law may be obtained, recorded, stored, changed, updated, periodically checked, rearranged, classified, and kept for the period necessary for the purpose for which they are processed or for the period stipulated in the relevant law, in whole or in part. In addition, your personal data may be transferred abroad, provided that the necessary security measures are taken and limited to the purposes stated in this Disclosure Statement. There is currently no transfer of any data abroad. 

  • Method of Personal Data Collection and Legal Reason

Your personal data is collected through information sent to our Company's e-mail address, information sent directly to the department verbally or in writing, website, electronic mail, mobile communication, mobile applications, application and membership forms, various contracts and, but not limited to, verbally, in writing or electronically, for legal reasons to achieve the purposes specified in Article 3 of this Disclosure Text.

  • Data Owner's Rights

In accordance with Article 11 of the KVKK, employees whose personal data is processed may apply to our Company and make requests regarding the following issues:

  1. Learning whether personal data is processed or not,
  2. Request information if personal data is processed,
  3. To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with the purpose,
  4. Learning the third parties whose personal data are transferred in the country or abroad,
  5. Requesting correction of personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and requesting notification of the transaction made within this scope to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  6. Requesting their deletion, destruction or anonymization in the event that the reasons requiring the processing of personal data disappear, and requesting the notification of the transaction made in this context to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  7. To object to a result that is detrimental to the data owner, as a result of the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems,
  8. To request the compensation of the damage in case of loss due to unlawful processing of personal data.

Requests arising from KVKK “Personal Data Owner Application Form”. In accordance with Article 13 of the KVKK, our company will finalize the application requests free of charge, depending on the nature of the request and within 30 (thirty) days at the latest. In case the request is rejected, the reason(s) for rejection will be justified in writing or electronically.

In order to exercise your rights specified above, you can submit your request, which includes the necessary information to identify you and your explanations regarding the right you wish to exercise from among the rights specified in Article 11 of the KVKK, by filling out the Personal Data Owner Application Form on the company website, and sending a signed copy of the form to the address Mahall Bomonti İzmir, Outer Door No: 174, A Block, Floor: 55, Inner Door No: 5510 Konak İZMİR, by hand, through a notary public or with a secure electronic signature to kep or to kurumsal@quarest.com. You can send it to the e-mail address or by other methods to be prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Board in accordance with Article 13 of the KVKK.

We want to use your data for the above purposes. If you do not consent to this, you can notify us at any time; we can stop processing your information unless it is required by law and apply destruction policies according to your request.

The Data Controller takes all necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure an appropriate level of security in order to prevent the unlawful processing of personal data, to prevent unlawful access to personal data, and to ensure the preservation of personal data.

What is this deep sleep phase and why is it so important?

 

This phase (N3), also known as the 3rd stage of sleep, is the sleep phase in which brain waves slow down, muscle activity decreases, heart rate and respiratory rate drop to their lowest levels and the body completely relaxes.

The deep sleep phase accounts for approximately 20-25% of total sleep time and is the most difficult sleep phase to wake up from. During this phase, the body refills its energy stores and the immune system is strengthened against diseases. In addition, processes such as cell renewal and tissue repair occur during this phase, with the secretion of growth hormone.

 

How Does Poor Quality Sleep (Not Getting Deep Sleep) Affect Our Health?

Not only our brains need sleep, but also our bodies. Sleep’s to-do list includes important tasks such as tissue repair, maintenance of metabolic pathways, and balancing hormones.

Lack of quality sleep has a greater negative impact on people with chronic pain. Poor quality sleep weakens the immune system and reduces our resistance to disease. People who are deprived of quality sleep lose 60% more lean muscle mass than those who sleep well. Poor quality sleep also makes you hungrier; just one night of poor sleep has been shown to increase hunger by up to 15%.

This situation causes the body's satiety hormone leptin balance to be disrupted, and some studies have shown that those who get poor quality sleep tend to turn to more sugary, salty and carbohydrate-heavy foods. Poor quality sleep causes an increase in the stress hormone cortisol, which leads to internal fat storage around the waist and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
