The Science of Deep Sleep

Quarest - Our name is our purpose.

As our founder and sales team, we have observed the effects of sleep products on our consumers in parallel with our history in the sector for years. Later, after starting the Quarest journey, we started R&D studies. Thus, after conducting various researches and examinations to observe the effects of deep sleep on human health in more detail, we have increased our awareness on this subject to the maximum level.

Afterwards, in order to observe this practically, our founder created and experienced a disciplined 3-month program on himself to increase deep sleep, and then we made the subject of deep sleep one of our basic production philosophies. In order for you to get the ideal level of sleep, we have progressed by basing all R&D and design studies on studies to ensure that you can get a high level of deep sleep quality in our products. As a result, we are now bringing you together with the Quarest brand and models.

(As a result of these studies, we also send you the Quarest Life Guide booklet along with your product.)

Better Quality Sleep,
Perform More

How does your sleep quality improve with Quarest?

With the technologies we use in our beds, we provide you with high air permeability and maximum pressure distribution on the body, and offer your spine extra waist and hip support when needed. By designing the ideal bed that adapts to all body types, even different sleeping positions on the same bed surface, we adopt the basic philosophy of ensuring that you get deep sleep efficiently.

Our claim is that,

After joining the Quarest family, Quarest will not only provide a bed that offers quality sleep. It will also create the necessary conditions to improve your sleep quality, and will continuously support your sleep awareness by providing you with useful information and guidance. The products we design according to our production philosophy will help improve your deep sleep quality and thus contribute to starting the day more efficiently, energetically and healthily. Quarest will continue to do its best to improve your sleep experience every day.

What is this deep sleep phase and why is it so important?

This phase (N3), also known as the 3rd stage of sleep, is the sleep phase in which brain waves slow down, muscle activity decreases, heart rate and respiratory rate drop to their lowest levels and the body completely relaxes.

The deep sleep phase accounts for approximately 20-25% of total sleep time and is the most difficult sleep phase to wake up from. During this phase, the body refills its energy stores and the immune system is strengthened against diseases. In addition, processes such as cell renewal and tissue repair occur during this phase, with the secretion of growth hormone.

How Does Poor Quality Sleep (Not Getting Deep Sleep) Affect Our Health?

Not only our brains need sleep, but also our bodies. Sleep’s to-do list includes important tasks such as tissue repair, maintenance of metabolic pathways, and balancing hormones.

Lack of quality sleep has a greater negative impact on people with chronic pain. Poor quality sleep weakens the immune system and reduces our resistance to disease. People who are deprived of quality sleep lose 60% more lean muscle mass than those who sleep well. Poor quality sleep also makes you hungrier; just one night of poor sleep has been shown to increase hunger by up to 15%.

This situation causes the body's satiety hormone leptin balance to be disrupted, and some studies have shown that those who get poor quality sleep tend to turn to more sugary, salty and carbohydrate-heavy foods. Poor quality sleep causes an increase in the stress hormone cortisol, which leads to internal fat storage around the waist and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

People who are sleep deprived also have an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, especially heart disease. Poor quality sleep can also trigger cancer, high blood pressure, Alzheimer's and psychological disorders.
